Lydia Jordane became an aesthetician in the late 70's but could not find a wax that worked the way she expected for herself and for her clients. Coming from a family of cosmetic chemists and a mother who was a couturier with an amazing eye for detail, the obvious solution for Lydia was to develop her own wax. Experiments took place over the kitchen stove and after many trials, the right wax formula was born, which she reluctantly sold to a few nearby salons. Before long Lydia's Lycon wax was in demand all over Australia and not long after orders flowed in from many parts of the world.
